Discover a tropical paradise on Costa Rica’s untamed Pacific Coast - where warm consistent waves hit the beautiful beach of Santa Teresa waiting to be surfed, where howler monkeys wake you up to morning yoga, and fresh, organic food will leave you feeling healthy and revived. Great for groups or couples that want to have a good time together with an ‘off-the-beaten’ path approach or individuals that prefer to fly solo in the face of new adventure and want to make some new friends, be ready to immerse yourself in the pura vida attitude of the culture and let Lucero (bright star) guide your way.

All packages include daily surf instruction, morning yoga sessions in a private studio, a welcome dinner in best restaurant in town, all breakfast and lunches, a one-hour massage, daytrip to nearby Montezuma waterfalls, and accommodations in a beautiful small resort with AC villas and pool.

Lucero Surf Retreats is located on Costa Rica’s Pacific coast on the Nicoya Peninsula. The blooming village of Santa Teresa is situated in the middle of Costa Rica's surfing mecca. What was once just five years ago a dirt road and a few small hostels is now brimming with international tourists and worldwide wave-chasers!

As a guest of Lucero Surf Retreats you will be staying at an exclusive beautiful resort - Otro lado, only 25 meters from the ocean. With luxurious little villas that can accommodate up to four guests. Surrounded by a tropical lush garden, a pool to cool off in and a small restaurant to enjoy your breakfast and lunches. In the morning the nice wooden floor of the restaurant turns into a private yoga studio!

Lucero offers packages for groups up to twelve people. If your group is larger then twelve, contact Lucero for optional arrangements. Those traveling together with different interests can request a more personalized package. Although Lucero likes to point out that this is a surf retreat, they will modify activities upon request when part of the party does not want to join the others in their surfing and/or yoga-lessons. Please take a look at optional activities/possibilities in the area, inquire about the different options, and Lucero will do their best to arrange this for you.

As Lucero takes into consideration that some of you will be coming from far and wide, they offer two-week programs as well. Activities might vary in the second week; therefore, a special rate will apply. Contact Lucero for more details on this option.

Reservation Policy

A $500 deposit must be made at the time of the reservation. The remaining amount must be paid at least 30 days prior to your reservation. Should your reservation be made within 30 days of the decided (and available) camp date, the entire payment must be made to hold the spot.
