Surfguys Surf School is excellence in surfing education from private instruction to summer surf camps. Since 1997, Surfguys Surf School has brought their A+ game to all clients in the waters off east central Florida, and in November of 2008 they begin surf camp adventures to Costa Rica. Seasonal, guided trips from November to April will allow Surfguys Surf School to give the best in surfing and instruction in the warm Pacific Ocean in a place called paradise. Surfguys Surf School's professional staff will help with all aspects of surfing for those who want an adventure of a lifetime. They do all the work and you enjoy a week of fun away from life's hustle and bustle.
Surfguy's professional staff has a combined 100+ years of surfing experience, and a very strong passion for surfing and the teaching of this sport. They go the extra distance to guarantee all your encounters are safe, educational, and fun. Try the sport that made Kelly Slater famous.
George "The Surfguy" Jones founded Surfguys in Melbourne Beach, Florida, and was a competition director for the CFL Eastern Surfing Association during the 1980’s. The Surfguy has been surfing for over 29+ years. Surfguys Surf School is Florida's third oldest professional surf instructional facility. "All surfers are our business!!!"
George's passion for surfing has taken him many places from Florida to Costa Rica since 1980. He's learned that surfing is not something made easy through observation, and is very challenging when attempted. Teaching beginners the finer points and preparing them for reality has made Surfguys Surf School's program a great success. Passing on the learned techniques and shortening the learning curve has been the goal of the staff. Having fun and being safe is the key to success in all lesson settings.
Surfguys Surf School has always provided a great arena for learning the complexities of the oceans, and the school’s instructors have enjoyed passing on this valuable information to newcomers. Surfguys Surf School teaches programs for newcomers, intermediate, and advanced surfers from surfers in the know.

Reservation Policy
A 50% deposit is required at the time of reservation. The remaining 50% is due at least 30 days prior to your arrival; for the Florida summer camp the remaining 50% must be paid ten days prior to you reserved date. For travel to Costa Rica, if your reservation is made within 30 days of the decided (and available) camp date, the entire payment is required to hold your spot.
Cancellation Policy
- Surfguys Surf School will refund 100% of any deposit within 30 days of scheduled arrival. If Surfguys Surf School has incurred costs that are not recoverable such as airfares or hotel penalties, these costs will be passed on to the guest.
- Any cancellations between 30 and 14 days prior to scheduled arrival shall be subject to 15% penalty of said deposit in addition to any unrecoverable costs as stated above.
- Any cancellation within 14 days of scheduled arrival shall be subject to 50% penalty of said deposit in addition to any unrecoverable costs as stated above.
